MECCA: Omani contestant Maytham bint Ahmed al Habsi has secured fourth place in the 15-Juz’ memorisation category at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorisation, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, held at the Holy Mosque in Mecca.
Al Habsi’s participation marked the first time a woman from Oman has competed in the event.
The competition brought together Quran memorisers from several Arab and Islamic countries and is considered one of the region’s most prominent competitions for Quran memorisation, recitation and interpretation. - ONA
